5. Belle & Sebastian- Are You Coming Over For Christmas?

This 2007 festive offering from B&S was released on their website as a free download. Whilst it is not the most ‘upbeat’ Christmas song you’ll ever hear, it would fit on a compilation quite nicely with more sombre Christmas songs such as White Christmas, A Spaceman Came Travelling and Silent Night. It’s the kind of Christmas song you’d happily have on later in the evening when you’re ‘podged up’, well lubricated and enjoying that last glass of mulled wine in front of the fire with the family before you trundle up the wooden hills to Bedfordshire.
